The transition from swimming to cycling (T1) is a crucial part of triathlon. In this brick clinic you will learn how to switch smoothly and efficiently between disciplines, with attention to technique, tactics and recovery.

09:15 – Walk-in with coffee & tea
Relaxed start-up moment. Time to get your bike and swimming gear ready. Short briefing on the importance of brick training and the content of the day.

10:00 – Theory & transition tips (T1)

  • What is brick training and why is it essential?

  • Structure of your transition zone

  • Clothing strategy: wetsuit, trisuit, helmet, socks

  • Maintaining Focus During Menopause

10:30 – Open water swimming session (± 30-40 min)

  • Warm-up & orientation

  • Breathing under racing conditions

  • Navigating around buoys

  • Last meters to the edge + wetsuit off

  • Simulation of the transition to cycling

11:30 – Straight ahead: cycling session (± 60-75 min)

  • Quiet start for transition recognition

  • Cadence & tempo build-up

  • Dealing with tired arms

  • Food & drinks on the bike

  • Tactics for the first 10 km of the race

12:45 – Return & Transition Reflection

  • How did the transition feel?

  • What worked, what didn't?

  • Evaluation with personal tips

13:15 – Healthy lunch & Q&A
Recover with a nutritious lunch. Time for personal questions, race advice and bike fit discussion.
