Do you want to perform small maintenance tasks independently, get your material race-ready and prevent breakdowns? During this clinic you will learn the practical basics of bike maintenance - with directly applicable knowledge for your triathlon preparation.

Program of the day

09:15 – Walk-in with coffee & tea
Quiet start with a short check-up of your own bike. We will go through the most important points.

10:00 – Kick-off: why maintenance is crucial

  • Typical triathlon bikes (TT vs. road bike)

  • Common problems and how to avoid them

  • Maintenance = safety + performance

  • What do you do yourself and what do you leave to a specialist?

10:30 – Practical block 1: basic skills

  • Cleaning & lubricating the chain

  • Removing & replacing wheels

  • Inflating tires + determining the correct pressure

  • Check & adjust brakes

  • Mounting bottle cages and saddlebags

  • Pre-race checks for race days

11:30 – Short break with snack

12:00 – Practical block 2: changing tires & tubeless explanation

  • Changing a tire with and without tire levers

  • Replace inner tube & check outer tire

  • Tubeless vs Inner Tube: Which is Right for You?

  • Simulation: Changing a tire under time pressure

13:00 – Bike setup & aerodynamics

  • Correct saddle height and handlebar position

  • Injury prevention & energy conservation

  • Intro to clipless pedals and cleats

  • Maintenance tips per weather condition

13:45 – Maintenance Challenge (optional & fun)

  • Duos or solo: who edits the fastest & most accurately?

  • Prize for the best 'mechanic'

14:15 – Joint lunch & closing
Time to share experiences, ask questions and finish with a healthy sports lunch. You will go home with a handy maintenance checklist.
